Jesse Novak is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work can be heard in a variety of television genres spanning comedy, drama, and reality. From 2012-2017, he gave The Mindy Project (Fox/Hulu) its characteristic sound with a distinctive main title and a bouncy, original underscore for 117 episodes. His work on BoJack Horseman, Neo Yokio and the upcoming Tuca & Bertie (Netflix) reflect his lifelong interest in animation, which has always inspired him creatively. He has also written the main title theme for TruTVs Adam Ruins Everything, MTVs Middle Of The Night Show, and NBCs Superstore, Champions and Crowded - the latter two of which he also served as series composer. Born in Massachusetts, Novak now lives in Los Angeles. Prior to his work in television, he was working in music production (most notably, playing the guitar, bass, and keyboard on MIAâs platinum-certified Paper Planes from a bedroom in Brooklyn) and arranging/engineering for artists like Snoop Dogg, Santigold, and Vampire weekend. He loves all kinds of music.
