Prior to scoring film and television projects Amritha Vaz was a human rights attorney, so she is very interested in helping tell stories with purpose. She started her composer career writing with Academy Award winning composer Mychael Danna on "500 Days of Summer," and has since scored a number of films on her own. Selected as one of six composers for the 2016 "Sundance Composer Lab," Amritha plays many instruments, is comfortable writing in a range of styles. She recently scored an episode of the Emmy nominated AppleTV series Home, and she is currently writing the score for the Disney series, "Mira: Royal Detective."
